Earth Rated. I currently use Earth Rated lavender bags and have found them strong, reliable, and easy to carry in a pocket without needing a dispenser. They are made with 65% certified post-consumer recycled plastic and they are Canadian company.
I’m confident with them. I do not use a dispenser when I walk the dog. Instead, I am able to fold a few – 2 or 3 – into my pocket and away I go. These bags are definitely what I want to be using and referring to others. Their pleasant scent is a real bonus!
My choice is the Grab & Go box — and the name is exactly right. I keep the box in the cupboard at home. Before each walk, I grab two or three bags and slip them into my pocket while they are still flat and empty. That is the whole system. No dispenser on the leash, no extra hardware — just a few bags tucked away and ready.
Why I Prefer Lavender Bags
After trying several different types of dog waste bags over time, I’ve come to like and trust the Earth Rated lavender bags. The lavender scent is light rather than overpowering, but it does help make the whole process a little more pleasant — especially during warmer weather or longer walks.
I also appreciate that the bags are strong, dependable, easy to carry and easy to separate quickly when you’re standing outside with a dog waiting impatiently beside you.

No dog waste bag is going to be perfect environmentally, but if I’m using something every single day, I’d rather support a company that is at least trying to improve the process responsibly.
